Grüner Tee enthält zahlreiche Inhaltsstoffe und ist besonders reich an bioaktiven Pflanzenstoffen, vor allem an Catechinen, welche man zur Gruppe der Polyphenole zählt. Ein herausragender Inhaltsstoff ist das Epigallocatechingallat (EGCG). Pure Encapsulations® Grüner Tee Extrakt ist besonders hochwertig, da die wertbestimmenden Pflanzenstoffe konzentriert vorliegen – so konnte das Produkt auf insgesamt 90 % Tee-Catechine bzw. 70 % Epigallocatechingallat (EGCG) standardisiert werden. EGCG ist eine Form der Tee-Catechine, welche als besonders wertvoll gilt.
